In the running for Miss Teenage Seattle

Abbey Homan of Eatonville will participate in the 2012 Miss Teenage Seattle pageant June 17.

She was chosen to be a contestant following interviews with pageant officials. Homan will compete in the 16-to-19-year-olds division for cash prizes. The winner will represent Seattle and surrounding communities at the national competition in Orlando, Fla., where more than $30,000 in prizes will be at stake.

Homan, a 2011 graduate of Eatonville High school, is a student at Eastern Washington University, majoring in education and participating on the Kode Red dance team.

She thanked her sponsors – Karen’s Hair of Tacoma, Kim and Dave Schrader of ATB Construction, Steve and Cheryl Munson, and the Renton Firefighters Benevolent Fund – for their pageant support.
