School board seat gets a candidate

An extended filing period has produced a candidate for an Eatonvlile School Board seat that initially had no one running in this fall’s election.
John Lambrecht, a Roy-area resident, submitted his candidacy this week for the board seat that is being given up by Bob Homan, who has chosen not to run for re-election. Lambrecht is the only person who filed during a three-day extra filing period Wednesday through Friday this week.
Four other local offices with water districts still have no candidates. The Ashford, Clear Water and Elbe water commissioners will have to appoint someone to seats that will become vacant after the November general election. They include Position 1 in the Ashford district, Position 2 in the Clear Water district, and Positions 2 and three in the Elbe district.
