The Eatonville wrestling team continued their winning ways by completely dominating the Clover Park Warriors on Tuesday night.
The Cruisers shutout the Warriors 84-0 with every single wrestler on the team that competed in a match winning by pin. There were a handful of boys and girls that won by forfeit due to Clover Park not having anyone in their class to wrestle.
On the 84-0 shutout head coach Mario Ragazzo said, “I’ve been coaching for 25 years and this is the first time having a team score a perfect 84 points in a match. It was amazing to watch and to see the kids growing as men and women wrestlers!  It was awesome!”

Winning by pin on the night were the following wrestlers:

113 Austin Frink
120 Rodney McGuire

The Cruiser boys team followed this great win up on Saturday with a trip to Puyallup to compete with 13 other schools in the Jaguar Invitational at Emerald Ridge HS.
Eatonville would have another strong showing by picking up a 2nd place overall finish. The Cruisers would miss out on the top spot by only 2 points. Falling to 4A school Lake Stevens 145-143.
Austin Frink (106) would win his 4th tournament in a row. He has also has not lost a league match all season.

Both the boys’ and girls’ teams will finish off their regular season this Wednesday January 29th at home against Castle Rock. This will be senior night and the coaching staff has challenged the team to pack the gym for this match. A packed gym will mean a huge pizza party for the team. So, go show your support for the team and the graduating seniors and help them pack the gym and win that pizza party.
