STORE DECORATING CONTEST

Ready, set, go... decorate... Let’s rock Eatonville streets. Pick up your registration for the store decorating contest at Eatonville Community Center  Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

LIONS TREE OF HONOR

The 16th Annual Tree of Honor is sponsored every year by the Eatonville Day Break Lions Club and is located in Nevitt Point, at the north entrance to Eatonville.  First lit with gold lights to symbolize Lionism, lights are changed to purple lights as people, groups, or even pets, are named by those wishing to remember, honor, or show their love in some way.  A $10 donation per light goes to support the local community.  Certificates can be provided to make a unique Christmas gift. Names of honorees are published in The Dispatch and posted at the Eatonville Post Office until after the New Year. CHRISTMAS PARADE

Beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, the toy shop for kids and tree lighting event will proceed the 6 p.m. Christmas Parade. Registration, route details and other event information can be obtained at About U Salon or Eatonville Community Center.

CHRISTMAS ARTS AND CRAFTS SHOW

The Mineral Presbyterian Christmas Arts & Crafts Show will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at the church. The event will feature handmade items by local artists. There will be a raffle to benefit Mineral Food Bank. There will also be complimentary refreshments available.

SANTA SUPPER

The City of DuPont's Santa Supper will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 2300 Golf House Rd, DuPont, WA 98327. Cost: $15 per person. Tickets must be purchased at City Hall.

SANTA BREAKFAST

The City of Dupont's Santa Breakfast begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at 2300 Golf House Rd, DuPont, WA 98327. Cost: $15 per person. Tickets must be purchased at City Hall.

LETTERS TO SANTA

The City of DuPont's Letters to Santa event runs from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the DuPont Historical Museum: 207 Barksdale Ave, DuPont, WA 98327.

DUPONT TREE LIGHTING

The City of Dupont's Tree Lighting Event begins at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at - Ross Plaza: 1500 Ross Loop, DuPont, WA 98327.

DECEMBER LUNCHEON

The "Delightful, Delicious, December Luncheon" will run from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, at United Methodist Church in Yelm. Cost: $10. The event features the Yelm High School Choir and special speaker Joanne Sheehan on "Life Signs-Warning Bumpy Road."

INTERFAITH CHRISTMAS CONCERT

The third annual Interfaith Community Christmas Concert will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 13612- 224th St. E., Graham. This event will feature an assortment of different faith traditions, with Christmas as a common link between them all. Help minister to the needy in our Graham Community by bringing a non-perishable food item to donate at the door.  All donations going to "Harvest House!"  Please open the attachment for details of time and place.

EATONVILLE FAMILY AGENCY

The toy drive in the sleigh at Center Street Junction is on now through Dec. 17. The antique sleigh will be brimming with toys for kids in Eatonville, from very generous donors. There is also a coat rack outside the Center Street Junction store, froa coat drive to benefit those in need in the community. In addition, Christmas dollars, unwrapped toys and food donations can be dropped off at the Community Center by Dec. 17 as well. Food baskets and toy distribution is set for Dec 16-19. A-STEM ACADEMY CAREER DAY

Career Day at Columbia Crest A-STEM Academy is scheduled for March 24. The school is trying to cover the following career paths: health and human services, science and natural resources, career and technical education, business management/administration and fine arts (to include culinary arts, music, etc.). Those who come to represent should be able to speak about their job role, the benefits and challenges of the job role, and the nuts and bolts of the work they do (i.e. salary, retirement, health benefits). Deb Noble Perry is looking for contacts of people who would be interested in participating and setting the stage for the future generation as they grow and develop through the education system and beyond. SCHOOL BACKPACKS

The Eatonville Family Agency, a nonprofit charitable organization, supports and runs the only backpack program in the Eatonville School District, which feeds around 100 children each weekend for the school year.
