Connie R. Christensen ended his battle with cancer on January 5th, 2020, at the age of 69. He lived in the Ashford area for most of his life. Connie will be missed by many and remembered always. He was an electrician by trade. He also worked in the timber industry in younger years. He was known by some as the bird man, he raised doves and kept one til the end. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He made many pieces of art using burls and local wood sources. A personality like no other, he will be remembered for his natural ability to be ornery with everyone, and his ability to make us laugh, even if we didn’t want to. He kept his sense of humor until the very end. Survived by his son, Troy Christensen; his niece, Bonnie Walker; four grandchildren, many loving friends that he considered family and (never to be left out) his beloved dove. Preceded in death by his daughter, Carlene, brother Lloyd, sister, Marlys Flory, and his parents, Marshal and Elsie. A celebration of life will be held at the Ashford Lions Hall on Saturday, February 8th, 2020 at 1pm. Bring your memories, pictures and join us in sharing the memories we had with him.
