On Tuesday, May 18th, James (Jimmy) Westhall Cross Jr. took his last ride after a long battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully at home with his loving girlfriend, Jodi Klein, and sister, Jamie Cross at his side. Jim was born in Muskegon, MI on September 23, 1961, to the parents of James and Delores (Gosselin) Cross. Jim was the youngest of five children and the only boy.
Jim was raised in Muskegon and moved to the Dallas, TX area shortly after he graduated from high school. It was in Texas that Jim met Nancy Wilson and moved to Bonney Lake, WA in 1997. They married the same year.  Jim later fell in love with Eatonville, WA, and its community, and together Jim and Nancy purchased a restaurant, now Bruno’s Family Restaurant and Bar. In 2015, Jim and Nancy divorced and remained business partners and friends.
In 2016, he asked Jodi Klein to go for a ride on his Harley. Less than a month later Jim was in a horrific motorcycle accident in Nevada. Jodi lovelingly nursed him through his recovery. Together they made a life with Jodi’s son’s; Kristian, Cody
and Justin.
Jim was known for his big heart and being there for his friends and family. He was good at just about everything and loved to travel and ride his Harley. Life took Jim many places, and his gregarious personality and big heart drew many people around him. He always had time for a smile and a laugh and would do anything for you.  Any challenge he took on was “no big deal”, even throughout his fight with cancer. Jim will be greatly missed by his friends, family, and community.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for June 6th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Eagles in downtown Eatonville. In lieu of flower, consider donating to the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals, dedicated to improving the lives of servicemembers through housing and development. https://varep.net/jimcross/
