Eatonville punched its ticket for the 1A high school football playoffs by smacking Forks 57-0 to conclude the Evergreen League campaign. The Cruisers finished with a 5-4 record overall and 4-3 in the Evergreen, sharing third place with Tenino but getting the league's third seed in the post-season because of their 42-41 regular-season victory over the Beavers. Eatonville, which reached the semifinals of the state tournament last year, will start this year's playoffs push on Friday with a district contest against La Center on the Wildcats' field. The winner will advance to the state tourney, while the loser's season will end. La Center enters the playoffs with a 5-4 record, too, after a 41-14 decision over Seton Catholic in its regular-season finale Oct. 31. The Wildcats have scored at least 40 points GÇô and 50-plus once GÇô in three of their victories.
