Graham-Kapowsin, led by singles champion Megan Hagerty, finished second in the South Puget Sound League 4A high school girls tennis tournament. Hagerty beat all five opponents she faced, including Avery Liening of Beamer, who she defeated 6-2, 6-1 in the title match May 11. The top 11 finishers in singles and doubles competition advanced to the West Central District tournament. Among those in the field will be Madi Schnabel of Bethel, who placed seventh with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Anya Bonner of Mt. Rainier. During the regular season, Graham-Kapowsin finished second in the SPSL's South division with a 7-2 record.
