Joan Dorothy DeLaurenti

passed away peacefully at her home on December 31, 2015. Joan was born in Lewistown, Montana to Al Dresen and Esther Dodge (Grooms) on December 22nd, 1935. When Joan was 9 years old her family moved to Tacoma, then later to Eatonville where she spent the rest of her life. Joan had a wonderful philosophy on life. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her home and her family were her life. If she wasn't making something for her family and friends you would find her outside working in the yard. Joan worked at the Eatonville Eagles as a waitress where she enjoyed laughing and visiting with her friends. She loved entertaining and threw great Holiday parties. She truly lived by her Red Hat Motto, "If it ain't fun we ain't doing it.GÇ¥ Joan is survived by her husband Jerry DeLaurenti, sons Don Painter (Karen) Dan Painter (Pam) daughter Diane Painter, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, two bothers and four sisters. Joan was preceded in death by her daughter Denise and her grandson Justin. A celebration of life will be held at the Eatonville Eagles Hall at 2:00 Saturday January 16th. Joan was a member of the AW Bridge Orthopedic Guild for over 55 years; memorials may be made to them in her honor.
