The driver died and two passengers, including one from Spanaway, were injured when a vehicle crashed last Saturday in Capitol Forest in Thurston. According to the State Patrol, Richard G. Daniels, 43, of Tacoma was killed as a result of the accident. The passengers GÇô a 48-year-old Spanaway man and a 30-year-old man from Tacoma GÇô suffered injuries but weren't taken to hospitals. The four-wheel vehicle carrying the men went off the roadway on B-Line Road in the forest and rolled into a ditch, the State Patrol reported.
