Rosalie Ruth Eveleth Cole

Rosalie Ruth Eveleth Cole passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2016 at the age of 73. Rosalie was born in Tacoma, WA on September 18, 1943, the daughter of Orville & Rose Eveleth. As a young girl, Rosalie loved spending time outdoors taking care of the animals on the family farm in Graham. After graduating from Bethel High School in 1961, she became a licensed beautician, starting a career that lasted almost 50 years. In 1963, Rosalie married her brother’s best friend, Jay. In 1970, they moved to her childhood home where they raised their boys and opened a beauty salon. Rosalie’s work ethic was unmatched. Her main goal was to ensure that her customers were always taken care of. Her shop, Rosalie’s Country Curl, allowed her to begin her workday early & often end late. Everyone was greeted by festive decorations that Rosalie put up for each holiday or season & no one could miss the talking stuffed animals or the dancing flowers on her window sill. Rosalie’s shop was where all of Graham’s current news was shared & discussed. She was dearly loved by all of her clients, many of whom became close friends & were regarded by Rosalie as family. Many clients were elderly and if they couldn’t come to her, she went to them. Rosalie’s many loves included cruising garage sales, spending time at Hood Canal, & traveling. Her flower & vegetable gardens were abundant & she was always generous with the harvest. Above all, Rosalie’s time with friends & family meant everything to her. She was so full of life that you always left her side feeling better. She will be dearly missed by all, especially her husband of 53 years, Jay, sons Brad (Sarah) & Rusty (Christine), & her five grandchildren, Alex, Petra, Eric, Gavin, & Bennet. She is preceded in death by her father Orville, mother Rose, & her brother Russell. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, January 8th at 2pm, Pioneer Park Pavillion, Puyallup.
