College Kudos

Joey Roppo of Monroe was named to the 2013-14 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court. The prestigious recognition acknowledges men's college basketball student-athletes who excelled in the classroom during the past season.
Roppo, a junior who is majoring in information technology and administrative management, has a cumulative 3.3 GPA.
Eastern Washington University recognized the following students on their Spring, 2014 Dean's List:
Monroe: Nikolas Dalbeck and Kaitlin Hankins.
Snohomish: Katarina Behla, Leiran Cornish, Kaitlyn Everson, Abigail Hart, Paige Helms, Stephanie Jones, Kelsey Lamoureux, Jolene Moran, Jennifer Simons and Megan Weyrauch.

Vikram Bhullar graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Wichita State University in Spring, 2014. Bhullar also was listed on the spring, 2014 Dean's List.
Michael A. Magee, a 2009 Monroe High School graduate as well as a graduate of the University of Washington, was accepted into the University of Oregon's Political Science Ph.D program with a full teaching scholarship.
Benjamin Parrish of Duvall was named to the Dean's Honor Roll for the 2013-14 academic year at the University of Northern Colorado.
