Farm to Table Market founder presents first Harvest Festival

Just in time for Halloween, Farm to Table Farmers Market founder Molly Daniels wants to invite the Sky Valley community to enjoy the sights and sounds of her first Harvest Festival.

The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Lake Tye Park in Monroe, and includes a pumpkin patch, hay jump, face-painting, corn on the cob, pies, live music and hot food. Sean the Balloon Guy will dazzle young attendees with his balloon-shaping skills; the entertainer was a regular during Daniels' summer farmers market series, and crafts things dogs, dinosaurs, hats, motorcycles and more out of balloons.-á -á

The festival features numerous repeat Farm to Table vendors, along with many new ones. Repeat vendors include TJ & CJ's Honeyhuggers, Heavenly Soap, Spoonful of Sweets, Tualco Valley Produce, Simply too Shabby, Kenzie's Pendants and Smith Brothers Farms. Hot food will be available from Big Dog's Hot Dog Joint and Atsuki's Food Truck.

The Harvest Festival will highlight locally made, handcrafted items, including baked goods, jewelry, housewares, candles, Seahawks-themed items, custom art and hair accessories. Children's arts and crafts activities will be available.-á -á
