Hop on over to these local Easter events

With all the Easter egg hunts and festivities planned for Saturday, April 4, the Easter Bunny is going to have a difficult time keeping up with all the fun. Here is an overview of what is happening and where.
The City of Monroe's 19th-annual Community Easter Egg Hunt
Monroe's Easter celebration will begin with pre-hunt activities at 9 a.m., at Lake Tye Park in Monroe (14964 Fryelands Blvd.). The egg hunt will start at 10 a.m. sharp, and kids are asked to bring their own Easter baskets. Children age 10 and younger are welcome to participate in the egg hunt.
The event will also include face painting, coloring, crafts, games and other hands-on activities provided by local businesses and organizations. Numerous vendor booths will be set up at the park, each providing different things to do and see, and the Easter Bunny will be available for photos.
"Every year, it just gets a little bit bigger and wilder and packed with more fun,GÇ¥ said Monroe Parks and Recreation Director Mike Farrell.

Gold Bar's Community-áEaster Egg Hunt
Gold Bar's Easter egg hunt is sponsored by the Gold Bar Red Hat Ladies, with support from the City of Gold Bar. Free raffle tickets will be given out from 9 to 9:30 a.m., and at 9:30 a.m. the hunt officially begins. The event is held at Gold Bar Elementary School (419 Lewis Ave.), and kids age 12 and younger are welcome to participate. Parental supervision is required.

The Gold Bar Red Hats purchased acres of candy in preparation of the event and held a work party last week at Gold Bar City Hall. They prepared bags of candy that will be given out to kids who participate in the hunt. Kids collect plastic eggs during the egg hunt, which then get traded in for candy. They also decorated and filled cheerfully colored Easter baskets that will be given away in the raffle.
The Gold Bar Red Hats help support numerous community events throughout the year, including the Memorial Day picnic, the Fourth of July picnic, Gold Dust Days and more.
"We try to keep this town going,GÇ¥ said Red Hat's Fonda Ells.
Sultan's Community Easter Egg Hunt
A tradition for more than 50 years, Sultan's Easter egg hunt is possibly one of the valley's longest running Easter events. The block party, which will begin at 10 a.m., will be in downtown Sultan in front of the gazebo on Main Street. At approximately 11 a.m., Snohomish County Fire District No. 5 will escort Sultan's very own Easter Bunny to the event, who will be available for photos and fun.
The egg dash will begin at noon.
This year's block party will include games, a bouncy house, face painting, lunch for purchase, arts and crafts, treats, football sign-ups and more.
Sultan's Easter egg hunt is a collaborative event coordinated by the Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce. Each year, numerous organizations partner with the chamber, including members of the local business community, churches and residents.
"This year's block party and egg dash are going to be bigger and better than ever,GÇ¥ said Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce Events Coordinator Elizabeth Emmons.
