Thomas Stuart Valentine

Thomas Stuart Valentine August 20, 1942 GÇô November 22, 2014 Tom was born in Pasco, Washington to George (Bud) and Kathryn Valentine of Grotto, Washington and passed away in his Seattle residence of natural causes.
Tom attended school in Monroe and graduated from Skykomish High School. Tom attended the University of Washington for three years before entering the U.S. Army where he spent two tours in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged as a sergeant in 1970.
Tom was extremely proud of his military service and was very disappointed with his and other service members' reception after returning from Vietnam. The next time you see a Vietnam veteran DON'T thank him for his service; ask him what it was like, try to understand and give the vet your support.
Tom worked in various professions in the Seattle area until his retirement, including Wyckoff and Trade-Marx. Tom was number three of 10 children and is survived by six brothers, two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was also God Uncle to Karen. He was preceded in death by both parents and younger brother Bob.
Tom will be interned at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent on May 23, 2015, at High Noon. If interested in attending the internment ceremony, send an email to tsvalentinecelebration@Gmail.com and you will be notified prior to the final arrangements.
