Eatonville residents Sarah and Brad Cole coordinated the “UP”-themed float, “With Hope Anything is Possible,” as Eatonville’s submission for the Daffodil Festival Parade, April 9, which ran in Tacoma, Puyallup, Sumner and Orting. The float was funded by private, public and community group donations, including the Town of Eatonville, Eatonville Lions Club, Eatonville High School ASB, Arrow Lumber, Dogwood Garden Club, Krystal Benham and more. Eatonville Lions member Ernie Wolf served as Mr. Frederickson on the float, and Annie Datillo offered her dog to be ‘Dug’ for the day.

"After all the division we experienced and witnessed with the 2021 political cycle and all things COVID-related, we thought this project would be a great opportunity to pull together community members from across the political spectrum," Sarah Cole said in an email. "The experience was amazing and everyone involved plans to continue next year with bigger ideas and increased community involvement."
