Playing without the team's leading scorer, the Eatonville Lady Cruisers struggled against King's Way Christian in the opening round of the SWW District 4 playoffs and fell 48-29 to the Knights last week.

Eatonville led 21-20 at the half, but the Knights turned up the defensive pressure in the second half. They only allowed the Cruisers to make three field goals for the rest of the game and dropped the Cruisers into the consolation bracket.

Brooke Blocker and Ryan Stammen led Eatonville with eight points each.

Facing elimination in a loser-out game, the Cruisers hosted the La Center Wildcats at Rainier Connect Arena on Saturday evening.

With Bailey Andersen back in the lineup for Eatonville, the Cruisers grabbed the lead in the second quarter and never looked back as they cruised to a 52-35 victory.

Andersen led the Cruisers with 15 points.

Andersen also scored her 500th career point in this game. As she is only a sophomore, she is currently on pace to eclipse the coveted 1,000-point mark in her high school career. The last Eatonville player to do that was Hailey Rath, just last year.

That victory gave the Cruisers life as they will play the Hoquiam Grizzlies in another loser-out contest on Wednesday. That game will be played at 6 p.m. at Montesano High School.
