Jenae Roulst stole the spotlight for Eatonville on Wednesday, breaking the school record in the girls’ 100-meter dash with a first-place, personal-best performance during a 2A SPSL meet against Steilacoom. The Sentinels took the overall team wins on both the boys’ and girls’ sides, but the Cruisers still had plenty to celebrate — notching 24 personal bests across the meet.
Roulst’s dominant day didn’t stop with the 100 meters. She also won the 200 with another PR and added podium finishes in both the discus (3rd, PR) and javelin (2nd), making her one of the meet’s top overall performers.
Girls Highlights:
Kalli Olson joined Roulst atop the sprints, placing second in the 200 and third in the 100, both personal bests. Distance runners Hannah Bieker and Bridget Stumph each set PRs in the 1600 (2nd and 3rd, respectively), with Stumph adding another in the 3200 (2nd). Bieker also placed third in that event.
Lily Lightfoot had a standout meet in the jumps and hurdles, winning both the long jump and triple jump, placing second in the 100-meter hurdles with a PR, and finishing third in the 300-meter hurdles. Eatonville also secured first-place finishes in the high jump (Miley King) and a tie for first in pole vault with Caelyn Schneider and Ava Tatro.
In the throws, Madison McChesney-Berube placed third in shot put and second in discus, while Jordyn Green and Roulst went 2-3 in javelin.
Boys Highlights:
Ky Nation led the boys with a first-place finish and personal best in the 100 meters. Jacob Simons and Lashawn Beaver placed second and third in the 200, both earning PRs. Rogue Pound and Steven Haas took second in the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles respectively, both with personal bests. Joey Callon placed third in the 300 hurdles.
Eatonville’s relay teams placed second in both the 4x100 and 4x400, with strong efforts from Nation, Simons, Beaver, Callon, and others.
In field events, Jarin Ragazzo won the javelin with a personal best. The Cruisers swept the pole vault podium behind Ethan Carter (1st), Steven Haas (2nd, PR), and Mark Devera (3rd). Haas also won the triple jump, with Landon Austin in second, and Rogue Pound added a second-place finish in the long jump. Anthony Thorlacius earned a PR while placing second in the discus.
