Cele Anderson

March 3, 1930 - March 11, 2025

Cele Anderson was called home on March 11, 2025. Cele was born in Jacala Hildalgo Mexico on
March 3rd,1930. She was raised primarily by her mother who was desperately poor. Cele was the
culy one Of her siblings to reach adulthood (All of her brothers and sisters died at an early age from
disease or malnutrition). During a period when Cele and her mother were struggling daily to survive,
an earthquake damaged Jacala's historic church. The construction crew restoring the church asked
Cele's mother to prepare daily meals for them. She accepted the offer and eventually Cele and her
mother were able to open a very small restaurant in their little town. Later, while still a teenager, Cele
took a job as a nanny for a high ranking pelice official living in Mexieo City. She was loved by the
three children she helped raise. She eventually went on to meet Clifford Anderson who was traveling
in Mexico. They married and settled down in Texas where they started a family.
While raising her family, she lived in a number of places, worked a number of jobs, leaned English,
and ultimately earned her US citizenship. The family rneved to the Eatonville area in the early 1970's.
Shortly there after, she went to work for the Eatonville School District - first in the kitchen, and then as
part of the custodial staff. During her time there, she was known to provide a sympathetic ear and wise
counsel to many students who attended there over the years.
Following here time at the school district, Cele, now a widow, enjoyed a long and well deserved
retirement. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, growing flowers, painting, working with children in her
church, and of course, helping out in the church kitchen.
A devoted wife, loving mother, and caring friend, Cele will be remembered by those who knew her for
her gentle spirit and kind heart. She was always eager to listen, slow to judge, and ready to lend a
helping hand wherever she could. She truly had the heat of a servent as she strived dail-y to love and
walk with her dear Savior Jesus Christ.
Cele was preceded in death by her husband Clifford. She is survived by her sons Steve (wife Martha)
& John Anderson; step daughters Karen Weiss (husband Ron), Diarme Linder, & Terry Taylor; 1 1
grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren..
A celebration of her life is planned at 2:00 pin on March 29th at the Eatonville Baptist Church
