A win over Vashon and a loss against Cascade Christian gave Eatonville a split in its first two matches of the Nisqually League's 2013 high school volleyball season last week. The Cruisers opened with a comeback victory Sept. 11 against Vashon, falling behind two games to one before capturing the fourth game 25-17 and winning the tie-breaker 15-9. Cascade Christian beat the Cruisers in three straight games Thursday 26-24, 25-21 and 25-23 despite the efforts of Pate (12 digs) and Daisey Newman (11 serves). -รก (Read more in the Sept. 18 print edition of The Dispatch)
