A 21-year-old man is suspected of stabbing another man to death during a dispute at a Parkland-area apartment building. Deputies from the Pierce County Sheriff Department responded to the stabbing incident at 11:30 p.m. Monday at University Park Apartments, located in the 400 block of Wheeler St. S. They found the body of the 50-year-old male victim in a stairwell. He was dead, apparently from multiple stab wounds. Detectives said they believe the suspect, who was arrested at the scene and booked into the county jail on suspicion of murder, was sleeping In a second-floor apartment when he was woken by loud noises from the third floor and went upstairs to confront the victim about the noise. They argued and then fought in the hallway and stairwell area, where the suspect reportedly stabbed the victim several times with a pocket knife, then left the victim and returned to his apartment.
