The Eatonville Lions Arts Festival is back for its 45th year this weekend. The three-day event starts this Friday and continues through Sunday with non-stop art and entertainment at Glacier View Park in Eatonville. The art will come from more than 100 Northwest artists and artisans who will display their paintings, sculptures, photography, glasswork, pottery, jewelry and quilting. Entertainment will come from the Kyle Murdock Band, performing Friday night from 9:30 to 11 o'clock. On Saturday night, a karaoke stage will be open to local amateur talent. Food is a staple of the festival, too, and this year the munchies will include roast beef sandwiches from an on-site, wood-fired smoker, hamburgers, hot dogs and curly fries. A beer garden will be open until 11 p.m., and an espresso cart will be available during daylight hours. The festival hours are 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. All proceeds will be applied to the Lions Club's local programs and services, including eye exams for the disadvanaged, hearing aids, and student scholarships. In keeping with the Lions Club's year-round focus on community service, the festival's information booth wil accept donations for the Eatonville Family Agency's food bank. And a Cascade Regional Blood Services bloodmobile will be on hand Saturday from 1 to 6 p.m. for blood donors.
