Arrests made in videotaped burglary

Two men have been accused of being the burglars whose videotaped images were made public by authorities in an attempt to solve a break-in at a Graham-area home. Charges of burglary, theft and unlawful possession of firearm were filed last week by the Pierce County prosecuting attorney against Michael Jamaine Allen, 32. He remained in the county jail as of Dec. 12. The second suspect, Sammy Love San, 18, is facing charges of burglary, unlawful possession of a firearm and making a false or misleading statement to police. He was released from jail after posting bail. The men were tracked down and arrested by the Pierce County Sheriff Department with the help of information about them that was released publicly through the department and Tacoma-Pierce County Crimestoppers. Images of both suspects and the vehicle they used in the burglary were accompanied by physical descriptions. According to investigators, burglars gained access to the residence on Orting-Kapowsin Highway East on Nov. 23 at 4:30 p.m. by following a delivery truck through a security gate. One suspect knocked on the front door of the house. After there was no answer, he took two packages that had been left on the porch by the delivery driver. The second suspect forced a back door open, went inside and stole several items. The men then drove away. Both of the suspects appeared to be armed with a handgun, authorities said. None of the home's occupants were at home during the break-in. Tacoma-Pierce County Crimestoppers offers rewards of up to $1,000 dollars for information leading to arrests and charges in cases it asks for the public's help in solving through confidential tips.
