A Bethel School Board meeting that included a public discussion of a proposal to change the attendance boundaries of the district's secondary schools was moved from Nov. 13 to Nov. 20 because of a scheduling conflict.
The meeting, which was held at the Bethel Learning Center, was the the first of two public hearings on the attendance proposal. The second one is scheduled for Dec. 11.
The district is considering boundary changes as a way to alleviate overcrowding and to accommodate the district's shift to middle schools. Maps of the proposed boundaries are at www.bethelsd.org.
Officials said written comments on the plan can be mailed to the district in care of Rob Van Slyke at 516 176th St. E., Spanaway, WA, 98387-8399.
