Bethel, G-K and SL student-athletes commit to colleges

Seven student-athletes at high schools in the Bethel School District are among some of the latest to sign letters of intent with colleges to continue their academic and athletic careers. Two Bethel High School seniors - Bryan Widener and Drew Bedore - signed with Wenatchee Valley College to play baseball next year. Widener, a second baseman for the Braves, earned All-South Puget Sound League honorable mention last season. Alexis Wade, a senior at Graham-Kapowsin High, Alexis Wade, is a two-sport signee with Shoreline Community College. She'll play soccer and fastpitch softball. Bethel High senior, Jackelina Bonds will play volleyball at Central Washington University beginning next season. Another Bethel senior, Kaytreeona Williams-Mack, will play basketball at Pierce College, where she plans to study criminal justice or accounting. Williams-Mack was a point guard for the Braves. Brianna Stutheit, a Bethel senior, has signed with George Fox University to play fastpitch starting next year. Spanaway Lake High senior Sojournah Channel has committed with Tacoma Community College to play volleyball.
