The search for a missing mountain climber has been suspended following the discovery of a body near the summit of Mount Rainier. Searchers on Saturday recovered the male corpse. Although identification by the Pierce County medical examiner was pending, the body matched the description of Kyle Bufis, 25, who was last seen two days earlier. Bufis, who was from Utah, was a member of a three-person climbing team when he went missing near Liberty Saddle at approximately 9 p.m. on June 11 after climbing the Liberty Ridge route on the north flank of the mountain. The other two members of the group returned from the cilmb safely. The cause of the cilmber's death will be determined by the medical examiner.
