A man who was found dead Thursday on a trail at Mount Rainier National Park was a suicide victim, according to park officials. Park visitors reported finding the man's body at 2:30 p.m. lying near the Wonderland Trail north of the Longmire area, near Rampart Ridge Trail. Park rangers went to the scene and determined that the man, later identified as a 58-year-old Kent resident who'd been missing since Wednesday, had committed suicide. A park spokesman said Friday that the man's wife reported him Thursday morning as missing. His body was taken by authorities to the Pierce County medical examiner's office in Tacoma Thursday night.
