Civil Service Commission needs member

Pierce County is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the Civil Service Commission for county Sheriff Department employees. The commission is a quasi-judicial body responsible for rules and regulations governing examinations, appointments, appeals and other general personnel issues for the Sheriff Department. Commission members are appointed by the county executive to a six-year term and serve as volunteers. They are required to attend one monthly meeting, or special meetings as required. Applicants must be residents and registered voters in Pierce County.
