Connie Hellyer memorial service A public celebration of life for Constance Hellyer, co-founder of Northwest Trek, will be held Sept. 28 at 10:30 a.m. in Tacoma at the University of Puget Sound's Kilworth memorial chapel, North 18th and Warner Street.
Mrs. Hellyer died July 28 at the age of 97, six years after the passing of her husband of nearly 70 years, David T. Hellyer, MD.-áFondly known as "Doc" and "Connie," the couple donated the land and vision for the wildlife park, and remained involved throughout their lives.
Memorial donations may be made to the Northwest Trek Foundation or a charity of your choice. The address of the Foundation is 11610 Trek Dr. E., Eatonville, WA 98328.
