Cruisers on way to state track meet

Eatonville will be well-represented in the 1A state high school track and field championships this week after winning the boys and girls team titles in the District 4 meet last Friday. The Cruisers earned a combined 34 spots in the state competition through their boys' and girls' top-four finishes in events at the district meet that was held at McKenzie Stadium in Vancouver. Event winners were Logan Moose in the long jump with a school-record 22 feet 5.5 inches and Justin Kaelin in the shot put (59 feet and a half-inch) and the discus (155-4). Among the girls' highlights were multi-state qualifiers Alexa Graddy, Mia Snydser, Brailee Vandenboom and Daisey Newman. Eastern Washington University will be the site of the state meet Thursday through Saturday.
