Eatonville's Cruisers will face Nooksack Valley Tuesday in the 1A Tri-District high school baseball playoffs after playing their way in with a doubleheader sweep of Vashon last weekend. Nooksack Valley will host the loser-out game. The winning team will move on to face Overlake on Thursday. Eatonville went into last Saturday needing to beat Vashon in the final Nisqually League game of the season game to force a tie-breaking playoff for the chance to get into the district tournament. Behind a stellar pitching performance by Alex Brandt and timely hitting, the Cruisers accomplished that goal with a 5-0 win. Then they beat the Pirates 6-2 for the ticket to the playoffs.
