Eatonville celebrates America's birthday

Eatonville's annual Independence Day celebration is spread over two days and features entertainment, fireworks and a parade. Here's the schedule, as provided by organizers and the Eatonville Chamber of Commerce:
July 3
On the grounds of Eatonville Elementary School and Middle School, starting at 5 p.m.: " Activities, food, vendors and inflatables. " Live music by The Brothers Rowe and the Army's America's Corps Band, which is scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. " Professional fireworks show at dusk. " All school rules apply on the school grounds during the fireworks event, including no alcohol and no smoking.
July 4
" Breakfast benefit for Relay for Life at the Eatonville Visitors Center on Mashell Avenue. " Parade starts at 12. Sreets that are part of the parade route will be closed to traffic starting at at 11:45. " Parade and non-food vendor applications are available at Eatonville Community Center.
"Each year, this event relies entirely on town and community donationsGÇ¥ to cover expenses, said Alana Smith, vice president of the chamber of commerce. Smith noted that crowds number about 3,000 people annually. "Everybody wants to celebrate the Fourth,GÇ¥ she said.
