Pierce County is accepting applications for an appointment to the county's Ethics Commission. Two openings will be filled on the five-member commission, whose citizen members uphold ethical conduct in county government by reviewing formal complaints against elected officials and other county employees. The appointments will be made by the county executive. Application forms are available at the county web site, pcexecutive@co.pierce.wa.us and 253-798-7477. The commission meets on the second Wednesday of each month in Tacoma. Complaints filed with the commission are reviewed by the panel and a hearings officer to determine if a violation of the county ethics code occurred.
