Candais Margeson, one of the top fastpitch players for Bethel High School and all of the South Puget Sound League in 2012, has signed a letter of intent to play for Olympic College in Bremerton.
Margeson was selected as an All-SPSL outfielder last season. Olympic competes in the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges. The Rangers qualified last season for the conference championships, losing twice in the tournament (to Spokane and Grays Harbor) and finishing the 2012 campaign with a 21-13 record.
Margeson will have a different coach with the Rangers than the one who recruited her. Olympic officials announced June 15 that coach Erika Quint has resigned to pursue other interests. The college was in the process of naming her successor.
