Fall Fest, which puts an emphasis on fun and information for people of all ages and abilities, is back.
The fifth annual free event will be held Saturday from 11-áa.m. to-á3 p.m. at Eatonville-áHigh School. Organizers say it's an opportunity for-áthe community to embrace disability awareness and to learn about resources available to them while connecting with other community members.
A craft fair featuring more than 20 vendors has been added this year.
Other activities will include Eatin' in Eatonville, a sampling of food from area restaurants that's similar to the Taste of Tacoma; door prizes; more than 35 booths offering information about available disability programs; entertainment starting at 1 p.m.; education and games with a goal of enhancing ability awareness and focusing on what people can do, rather than what they can't do, a Fall Fest spokeswoman said;.and children's attractions, including a bouncy house, a petting zoo, clowns, crafts and a coloring contest.
Also scheduled are opportunities for giving to others, including a bloodmobile from Cascade Regional Blood Services for blood donations. In addition, people can bring:vegetables from their gardens-áfor-áa "harvest swap,GÇ¥make donations to the Eatonville Food Bank, and donate eye glasses for charitable use by the Eatonville Lions Club, used medical equipment-áand wheelchairs, and clean-á unused medical supplies
