Art, music and good times were in abundance last weekend during the 42nd annual Eatonville Lions Club Art Festival. From Friday through Sunday, Glacier Park in Eatonville was the scene of 100-plus artisans displaying, selling and talking about their work GÇô some of which went to the highest bidders during well-attended auctions. Bands, singers and dancers took to the stage to entertain the festival attendees all three days. Amng the performers was Elmer Potts, a singer/songwriter who pumped out a crowd-pleasing mix of classic rock numbers. Food and refreshments were a big part of the festival, too. Some of the most popular items when temperatures climbed into the mid and high-70s were the frozen lemonade and ice treats sold by the Lions Club. Proceeds from some of the concession sales will support the Lions' causes, including donated eye glasses and hearing aids for people who can't afford them, American Diabetes Association, Lions Club International Foundation, and student scholarships.
