A Graham man has been arrested and charged with having and distributing child pornography. Teryle C. Smith, 43, was arrested Monday at his home by State Patrol detectives and was booked into Pierce County Jail. He was arraigned Tuesday in Superior Court in Tacoma on eight counts of dealing in or posessing depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. The Missing and Exploited Children's Task Force (MECTF), a unit of the State Patrol, initiated an investigation of Smith in mid-January based on a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.-áAuthorities said he was involved in trading images and videos of girls ranging in age from 6 to 14 years old through e-mail and social media. Detectives believe there may be more alleged victims and have asked anyone believing a child may have been a victim to contact MECTF at 360-704-2400, a State Patrol spokesman said.
