Here comes Santa Claus

Santa Claus will ride in the glow of streetlights and the adoration of children and the young at heart during the parade this Saturday night that's part of the annual "Christmas in Eatonville" celebration. The event will begin at 3 p.m. with visits and pictures with Santa at the town's Visitors Center on Mashell Avenue. Cocoa and cookies will be available. Holiday music, including caroling by church choirs and community members, will accompany a tree-lighting. And the parade down Mashell will start at 5 o'clock, with Santa (as seen in the picture from a previous year) riding high. The festivities are being organized in part by Eatonville Chamber of Commerce. Information about being a parade participant is available at 360-832-8366. All are welcome to be among carolers who will rehearse from 3 to 4 at the Lions Club and then perform from 4 to 4:45 , accompanied by a brass band. The group will be led by Jason Hunter, an Eatonville School District music director.
