Janice B. Kropf, Eatonville High School class of 1942, resident of Cobleskill, N.Y., passed away on May 30, 2012. Born on Dec. 18, 1924 to Fred and Olga Kropf, she grew up on their farm on Dean Kreger Road, near Silver Lake. Janice was a beautiful and talented lady who worked for embassies in Italy, the former USSR, and Japan, before spending many years in New Delhi, India as an interior decorator for the U.S. State Department. She traveled the world, experiencing life and many cultures. Janice helped to form the New Delhi Company known as The India International Designers, where she created beautiful furniture for embassies and expatriates in many countries and continued a very successful interior design business for many clients around the world.
Janice was predeceased by her husband, Biman P. Ray, her parents, her sister Marlys and her sister's husband, Dr. Caswell Farr. She is survived by her brother, John Kropf, and his wife Sue of Shoreline.
Janice's family, her special friend, Dr. Hassan Ali Al Nimah, of Qatar, and a host of special friends from around the world were able to be with Janice during her final days. They will miss her greatly.
In keeping with Janice's request, there were no formal services.
