Justin Kaelin of Eatonville High won the shot put in the Oregon Relays high school track and field meet April 19-20 at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon. Kaeli, a junior, beat all other competitors from Oregon and Washington with a mark of 58 feet 2 inches. It's the fifth-best in meet history, and it broke Eatonville's school record, which he set a week earlier at 56-6 in the Tacoma Invitational. Kaelin is leading all high school divisions in Washington this season. The Oregon Relays is one of the top-rated invitational track meets for Northwest high school student-athletes.
