Katherine Wittwer, 94, passed away February 14, 2013 in Graham, Wash. Katherine was born to Frank and Katherine Mettler, December 20, 1918, in Everson, Wash. She graduated Valedictorian from Morton High School in 1937. Katherine was officer in charge at the Elbe Post Office for 25 years. Her family will remember her as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Katherine is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Vincent Rahier, her son, Dale Rahier, two brothers, Frank and Joe Mettler, and her son-in-law, Dave Martin. She is survived by her husband, Joe Wittwer, a daughter Kathleen (Rahier) Martin of Yakima, Wash., a son Elwyn Rahier (Bev) of Morton, Wash., and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held February 20 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Eatonville, Wash. Memorial contributions may be made to Franciscan Hospice, Elbe Fire Department, or your favorite charity.
