Eatonville Family Agency, an official source of one-on-one assistance with the federal Affordable Healthcare Act, is making appointments to help people purchase a medical plan before the special enrollment period ends April 17. Persons who don't meet the deadline could receive a tax penalty for not having minimum essential insurance coverage in 2015. Assistance in enrolling through Washington Health Plan Finder is available for persons or families with incomes over 138 percent of the federal poverty level (one person, $1,342; two people, $1,809; three people, $2,276; four people, $2,743). Those who are under 138 percent of the poverty level qualify for free insurance. The Family Agency can be reached at 360-832-6805 for appointments and information. The agency is located at 305 W. Center St. An agency spokeswoman said it also has information is on subjects such as premium tax credits, cost-sharing reductions, exemptions, conditional eligibility and income averaging.
