Local scholar-athletes at George Fox, PLU

Four student-athletes from Graham and Eatonville are among those at George Fox University and Pacific Lutheran University who have been named as Northwest Conference Scholar-Athletes for the 2012-13 academic year. Among those namedby the conference from George Fox in Newberg, Ore. are: " Kylee Parker, a junior women's basketball player from Graham who's majoring in history. " Ashley Richards, a freshman women's soccer performer from Eatonville. She's majoring in psychology. At Pacific Lutheran, the honors went to: " Erik Swartout, a freshman men's basketball team member from Eatonville. His major wasn't listed. " Noah Kime, a junior men's track and field performer from Graham with a major in mathematics. To be eligible for Northwest Conference Scholar-Athlete honors, a student-athlete must have used a year of eligibility while competing for a varsity team. They also must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher.-รก A total of 840 of the scholar-athlete awards were presented to student-athletes at member schools of the NCAA Division III conference.
