Pierce County's deputy auditor will become the state's director of elections when Secretary of State-elect Kim Wyman takes office next month. Wyman, who was elected last month, has named Lori Augino to head the elections division in Wyman's new administration. As deputy auditor, Augino has helped oversee elections in Pierce County, as well as other functions of the auditor's office. Wyman, who has been Thurston County's auditor for 12 years, will replace Secretary of State Sam Reed. He didn't seek re-election.
