Not since its own team played in the semifinals of the state 1A tournament last November has Eatonville High School been so excited about a football game. On Friday, two days before the Super Bowl, the school's students and staff will stage a community rally in support of the Seattle Seahawks in the team's showdown with New England in Arizona for the National Football League championship. In what's billed as a "blue and green serpentine," students will march from the school through some Eatonville town streets and back to the school's football field, starting at 8:40 a.m. Organizers said the general public can join the march at the intersection of Mashell Avenue North and Center Street and then join in a communitywide 12th-man photo at the football field. The school held a similar event during the state tournament.
