Store's new owners have Mexico businesses

The NAPA Auto store in Eatonville has new owners who also have business interests in Mexico. The store, located on Center Street, officially changed ownership June 1. The owners are a partnership involving husband and wife Rick and Kathy Gutierrez and Eduardo Mercado. The manager is Dave Gutierrez, son of Rick and Kathy, who with Mercado are also partners in several Subway franchises in Mexico. They chose the NAPA store in Eatonville when they were looking for business opportunities in the U.S. With the help of a broker, the Gutierrezes and Mercado considered a flower shop, a spa and a guitar shop among other business possibilities before choosing the NAPA outlet. The store's staff were joined by Eatonville Chamber of Commerce members in a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony in recognition of the new ownership.
