Tight game and title go to Wright

Wright won a defensive battle and captured the Nisqually League high school football championship Friday by beating Eatonville 7-6.
Playing on their home field, the undefeated Tarriers scored their touchdown in the fourth quarter on Colin Reynolds' five-yard run. That overcome the 6-0 advantage Eatonville had held since Brandon Atkins got into the end zone on a one-yard run in the second quarter. The Cruisers' extra-point kick was blocked, which allowed Wright's kick after its touchdown to be the decisive point.
With the victory, Wright, now 8-0, earned a first-round bye in the class 1A state playoffs that begin in November. Eatonville (7-2) absorbed its first loss to a Nisqually opponent this year but has a district playoff game and a chance to reach the state tourney.
