Tomal, Bollen and Harris All-Nisqually on offense and defense

Seven Eatonville Cruisers have been named first-team All-Nisqually League football performers from the 2013 season, and three of them earned the honor for offense and defense. George Tomal, a junior, was selected as a running back and a linebacker. Jesse Bollen, a senior, made it as a punter and a defensive back. And Will Harris, a junior, was a two-way pick as a lineman. Joining them were teammates Joe Evans, a senior wide receiver; offensive tackle Chase DeMoor, a senior; defensive lineman Justin Kaelin, a junior; and linebacker John Warner, a junior. More Cruisers were named to the all-league second team. They include quarterback Jacob McCormick, a sophomore; running back Jeff Patterson, a senior; and Bollen as a kicker. Honorable mention was received by defensive linemen Chuck Trinidad and DeMoor, guard John Pegg, linebacker Wyatt Coleman, wide receiver Caleb Keefer, running back Ryan Franz and center Josh Miller. All are seniors except Coleman, a junior, and Miller, who's a sophomore. Eatonville's season ended Nov. 8 with a 30-12 loss to King's in a district playoff game. Eatonville reached the 1A playoffs by winning seven of its first nine games and finished with a 7-3 record. In performances against King's that were typical of their season-long accomplishments, Tomal ran for 107 yards on 17 carries on offense and had six tackles on defense. Bollen, playing in his final high school football game, led the Cruisers with seven tackles, and Warner had six stops.
