When Christmas comes to town

Despite the blustery weather, holiday moods were bright last Saturday for the annual "Christmas in Eatonville" celebration. The festivities included caroling by church choirs and community members who moved their early-evening songmaking inside the town's cozy Visitor Center. That's also where Santa and Mrs. Claus earlier in the day greeted children with gifts and the season's wishes and posed for photographs. Meanwhile, outside in the strong wind and intermittent rain, about 100 people gathered to watch the tree-lighting in front of the center and a parade down Mashell Avenue. The activities were organized by the Eatonville Chamber of Commerce.
