Eatonville and Elma face each other today in a one-game playoff to decide which high school baseball team advances to post-season action. The teams finished the regular season in a tie for the final Evergreen League berth in the 1A district playoffs after Eatonville lost to Montesano and Elma beat Rochester Thursday. They'll meet on a neutral field at Rochester at 4 p.m. Friday for the tie-breaker. Eatonville began this week with a one-game lead over Elma in the league standings. Each team had two games left to play. The Cruisers would have clinched the playoffs spot if they'd won one of their games or Elma lost both of theirs. Eatonville was blanked twice by league champion Montesano, including 10-0 on Wednesday, while Elma rebounded from an earlier 8-7 loss to Rochester to beat the same team Thursday. The score of that game wasn't available.
